How Do I Register My Twitter Account ? -

Type in the first Twitter Username and Password that you want to begin collecting followers for and click "Save". This will register your twitter account with the Twitter API.

When you want to add a second or third Twitter User Account you select "Add New User" button first each time otherwise it will wipe out the previous twitter account.

You can track as many accounts as you like eg. I run about 30 Twitter accounts simultaneously.

How Do I Remove My Twitter Account From Collecting Followers ? -

Should you need to remove an account, select the account you need to remove in the top left corner first then click remove.

        then click remove         

You can tell which account is "actively" collecting followers by clicking on the Twitter Username in the top left and looking at the user details panel to see if any search terms are active.

It also displays how many followers you have and how many people you are following.

Even when you are looking at another account the keyword search is still active until you hit "Stop" on a search word (or of course exit the application), you can have multiple accounts running simultaneously each looking for up to 4 keywords but it slows down 'response times' the more accounts you run side by side.

How Do I Start Following a Keyword ? -

1/ Enter and save the Twitter Username you want to the keyword to apply to.

2/ Select how many people you want to follow for this keyword  (50, 100, 200)

3/ Enter the keyword and click the "Start/Stop" button, it's that simple.

In the example below my twitter account called Tweet_Tools is looking to follow 50 people each who type the words  MyTwitterButler and MyPostButler.

It's Been 5 Minutes How Many People Has It Found Yet ? -

Depending on how popular a search term is used will determine on how long it takes for 50 people to type in the "Key Word". 

If you want to see who it has found so far click "View" next to the particular search term and a window with all the twitter accounts that have been followed already will be listed.

One click viewing ? -

In the "View Details" panel if you click on the Users Followed name it will automatically open up a browser and take you to their www.Twitter.com/UserName

In the example above these 84 user names were automatically added to my Tweet_Tools twitter account in 5 minutes without me needing to do anything at all.

How Do I Increase API Limits ? -

You visit whitelisting request form and if they will approve your IP address you can make 20,000 calls per hour.

Ok So I Found My 50 People Now What ? -

Hit "Start" again and it will search for another 50 people.

If you want to increase the number to 200 then change that number before hitting "Start".

You dont have to but if you want to view the names My Post Butler has already found for you then you can click "View" and it will bring up the 200 names along with one click viewing.

 

Ok Enough With The Following - How Does Direct Broadcast Messaging Work? -


 

So in the example above Twitter account user Tweet_Tools has 997 Followers by clicking on the "Send Messages" button I can send a Direct Message to up to 250 of these users per day per account.

Click "Send Messages" in green and WAIT !!!!

Yes it will look like your pc has locked up - it isn't. Basically it takes time to communicate with the Twitter API, it will take about 2 minutes before anything happens.

Ok I Have The Send Message Screen, Now What? -

Now you can select 1 of 3 options.

1/ Add individual users (Use the CTRL key to select multiple users selectively)
2/ Add All Users
3/ Add All and then remove some of them.

Once you have selected the users you want to send the message to, then type out your message. You are limited to 140 characters like normal.

There is no need to put D+username or @+username etc, this is handled automatically.

Remember direct messages will burn through your rate limit like nothing else. Even with 20,000 per hour I hit individual account limits.

Ok How Does This Cool New "Bulk Unfollow" Feature You Just Added Work?  -

Bulk Unfollow rocks. Now you can do everything you need on a single application.

The people you follow are sorted into two categories

1/ Users who DO follow you back.
2/ Users who DONT follow you back.

Simply select followers from either column and click "Unfollow Selected" - bang they are gone. This is without the fastest and easiest way to unfollow people, no longer do you need to wait for web apps to load.

Does It Do Anything Else? -

Nope and it wont make you coffee in the morning either.
